EGYPT
For the beginning of term 2 we are starting
off with Egypt in Social Studies class. The first things that we got were 2
booklets about Egypt and a booklet for some of the vocabulary that will be in
this section. We also had watched 2 movies they were both about the pyramid,
but the first one was kind of about a certain guy, it told a story about how a
guy and his brother who were sent from their home to help build the pyramid. They
had stayed there for a while but the guy’s brother had died and the guy didn’t want
to go home without him so he finished building the pyramids, but he stayed
there. The only thing that was bad about the movie was that it was supper glitchy
and hurt my eyes.
The second movie was more of a documentary then
a movie, but it was telling us about how the pyramids and where the people who
built the pyramid lived and what they eat. It also showed what the houses
looked like and the kind of thing they ate and drank from. Another thing they
showed was what a grave site looked like. One looked like an actual grave site
and another one looked like a dome shaped pyramid. And finally on Wednesday we
got a worksheet that had 25 questions asking about the daily life of the
Egyptians.
