Celebrity Views
Very
recently we read a story called “Here’s to You, Joe DiMaggio” written by Paul
Simon. After we had read the story we had a slight discussion on modern
celebrities and how they are being portrayed today.
Celebrities
today are clearly not being depicted in a fair way nor are they being
realistic. Though we see a lot of bad publicity for many celebrities, do we
really know the whole story? Many paparazzi’s exaggerate a story to attract… well
us. I bet half of us has grabbed a magazine because we see something intriguing
on the cover. Like Kim Kardashian’s divorced Kanye’s sorry butt or Selena Gomez
pregnant with Justin Bieber’s child. If I saw that in Walmart I’d totally take
a look. Chances are what they’re saying is total baloney… if people say that
still. So it’s very hard to trust the media for factual information.
I
am completely guilty of this and I am positive that I am not the only one.
Looking up to people just because of their visual appeal or success rate. What
cha talking about Mikka? Well I’m pretty sure the main reason why Justin Bieber
or One Direction became worldwide famous is because they look attractive. Same goes
for Megan Fox and any of the Kardashians. As much as we want to deny the fact
we look up to these people because of their appearance I think I made a pretty
much sealed the deal when I said Megan Fox. Though it’s hard to look at a
person personally from a far combined with the publicity that’s given we should
try to base the thing we admire about them through personality.
Point
being, we barely know anything about these people. What they go through day by
day, the challenges they have to face, the reasons behind why they did what
they did. We might see the image they try to portray to the media or what the
media makes them look. But we don’t know what happens behind all that. So we
are not any position to judge nor hate at them. Thank you for listening to me.
Hope you have a great day!
