ELA Novel Study- The Hobbit

For my blog post I will be talking about our new novel study in English class; The Hobbit. The Hobbit is a recognized book by the author known as J.R.R. Tolkien. J.R.R. Tolkien is also known for his other books, The Lord of the Rings.  The Hobbit is famous, people around the world have created blogs, websites, and much more expressing their passion for the book.  There have been movies produced on not only The Hobbit but also The Lord of the Rings. It is a fantasy adventure novel.

The book is mainly about a Hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. Hobbits are small people about half the size of humans with furry toes and a great love for food and drink. Bilbo is persuaded to join an adventure with thirteen dwarves by a wizard named Gandalf. The adventure is directed at the goal of reclaiming their treasure from the dragon Smaug. Throughout their journey they are faced with many obstacles including goblins, wolves and other dangers.

In conclusion, I’m very excited to see how the ending of this story unfolds. It has been quite an interesting story thus far and is a pleasure to read. I’m also looking forward to watching the movie afterwards. I hope you have enjoyed my blog post on the novel The Hobbit. Thank you!
