My
Favourite Memories
One of my favourite memories was all of the stuff my friends and I did on our free time at cadet camp. A lot of fun stuff happened, for example: one of our sergeants always stealing one of our bed and all of our pillows which he then used to make a throne, that same sergeant having as “sanitary wipe war” with one of my roommates, whenever anything happened I would hide in an extra cabinet we had, and lots more. By far, my favourite of these memories was when I got locked in a closet. Things started to get chaotic and I had moved from my tiny cabinet to a full sized closet. My roommate upon my request for a pillow gave me all of the bedding except for the mattresses in our room. Soon after that, one of my roommates was thrown in with me and to keep us from busting out, the rest of my roommates put a lock on the door without locking it. This was when one of my roommates outside of the locker realized that you can make the lock appear locked but still be leave it unlocked by almost locking it… but he messed up and locked us in. The worst part was that no one knew who the lock belonged to and no one knew the combination; my roommate and I were stuck in a locker with all of the bedding in the room. After no less than twenty minutes in the locker, my roommates finally guessed the combination out of dumb luck and we were finally free.
Another
of my favourite memories was the first time that I went flying in a small
aircraft. In cadets we are required to go flying in a small aircraft; this is
called “Power Familiarization Flying” or “Fam Flying” for short. I was allowed
to sit in the front of the cockpit and I was even allowed to pilot the
aircraft. Unfortunately, the air was very turbulent and our little Cessna was
tossed around like nothing by the wind. I was dizzy and woozy by the time we
landed and after that all my memories are very blurry. The one thing I do
remember after landing was throwing up right when I got home.
My
third favourite memory was my trip to Europe. We stopped at various countries:
England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and France. My favourite country of these
was Switzerland where we stayed for a few days in the city of Lucerne. We went
to the top of Mount Titlis and it was beautiful. There was a hill at the top
and I was the only one that climbed it; he view from the top of this hill was
indescribably beautiful. I tried to take some pictures but the camera didn’t
end up working for me and those pictures didn’t save. I don’t think I’ll ever
forget the view from that Mount Titlis, it was absolutely gorgeous.
